Pilar Cepeda has been the guide in the Kiwi toddler community since 2008. She is originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela and moved to the Atlanta in 2003. “I absolutely love it!” She has a background in dentistry from Venezuela where she trained and worked as a dentist for a year and a half before she came to the States. She began working in Montessori in 2005 as an assistant guide in the toddler classroom at the Maria Montessori School of Atlanta and fell in love with it. In 2007, Pilar finished her Aid to Infancy Training at the Montessori Institute of Atlanta. She has been with us here at MSAE in the toddler community since 2008. “My experience here has been wonderful!” Besides being with her son and the many other children in her life, Pilar enjoys shopping, movies, cooking and (of course) going out.
Stephanie Murphy has been with the school for thirteen years, and has been a guide in the Hummingbird community the past four years. She is a loving wife of over 20 years to the love of her life, Roderick, and an amazing and supportive mother of 4 wonderful sons and 1 beautiful step daughter. Stephanie is a proud United States Navy mom, and also a hip and happening grandmother of 7 adorable grandchildren. She has many years of hard work, dedication and experience of working in the educational field. Ms. Murphy worked at Kindercare Learning Center for 4 years, teaching pre-k at the YMCA Child Care Academy for 6 years, kindergarten at New Generations Family Solutions for 5 years and toddlers at Little Tots Academy for 2 years. She loves spending time with her family and volunteering in the community with her sorority sisters of OES. Prior to guiding the toddlers she was an assistant in the Primary classroom. She was accepted into the Primary Montessori training in 2009 and completed her Child Development Associates degree in 2014 at the Infant/toddler level.
