The Whole Child
The primary goal of a Montessori program is to help each child reach their full potential in all areas of life. Activities promote the development of social skills, emotional growth and physical coordination as well as cognitive preparation for future intellectual academic endeavors. The holistic curriculum, under the direction of a specifically prepared teacher, allows the child to experience the joy of learning, the time to enjoy the process and ensures the development of self esteem. It provides the experiences from which children create their knowledge.
Our Roots
Montessori School at Emory was founded over 22 years ago becoming accredited as a Montessori School in 1993. For many years the school was located on Scott Blvd. and housed one toddler program, three primary classes and a combined upper and lower elementary program.

In 2008 the school moved to it's current campus on North Decatur road. With our new location came the expansion of our programs to encompass two toddler environments, four primary communities and lower and upper elementary classes.

Today
Today Montessori School at Emory is a thriving, vibrant community. With over 180 students, from 15 months through 14 years, the Montessori School at Emory continues to support the whole child and prepare them for life through accredited, authentic quality Montessori  programs.

The Future
Montessori School at Emory is growing! Our adolescent program is our newest age group and is thriving. With two campus buildings the school has the ability to grow as our community grows.

Core Values
Montessori School at Emory believes in planting the seeds of learning in the fertile ground of a child’s natural curiosity and joy in discovery, thus nurturing through the school years the child’s initiative to explore and to question, to engage with the world, to learn, and to emerge as a creative, imaginative, independent life-long learner.

We believe that each child is a unique individual and learning is a process that involves all of the senses, especially touch, and the senses feed the child’s absorbent and eager mind.

Tradition of Diversity
Montessori School at Emory is truly a global community with children, parents, and staff from all over the world. This diversity is celebrated and embraced. Montessori School at Emory families are encouraged to share their culture with the classroom and the school.
