Music in the Montessori Classroom is presented by the lead teachers. Our AMI trained teachers are prepared to give music lessons to the children exploring the different musical instruments available in the classrooms. We have instruments ranging from Bells, Tone Chime Handbells, Tone Bars, Ukulele, Piano, Keyboard, and Chimes to name a few. The children will not only learn the history of music and have opportunities to explore how music has transitioned throughout the many different ages and stages, but they will dive into singing, rhythm, listening, movement, notation and reading of pitch and much more. Mr. Marshall and Ms. Gabriel (Local musicians) work with our elementary and adolescent classrooms to bring music into those environments where the children are working on music composition utilizing modern technology to create their masterpiece. Children will develop an appreciation of music, explore different genres, develop and explore their own artistic style and even make connections between music and history.
